Kerk-Avezaath is rijkelijk bedeeld met (rijks- en gemeentelijke) monumenten. Aan negen daarvan komt u voorbij tijdens de wandeling over de Dorpsstraat. Kom je uit de richting Buren, dan begint het al op de karakteristieke driesprong Dorpsstraat/Woerd/Noordereinde. Hier staat nog een mooie oude handwijzer. De mooie herenboerderij Steenakker (Noordereind 3) ligt verscholen links van de driesprong. Het statige landhuis Huize Teisterbant, (Dorpsstraat 29) dateert uit circa 1800. De villa aan nummer 27 stamt uit circa 1925. Dorpsstraat 6 is een gepleisterd blokvormig pand uit circa 1860. Verder nog het bekijken waard zijn de huisnummers: 2 (school), 7 (boerderij) en de villa’s 19, 21 en 25.
