Der Name der Gemeinde leitet sich von "Jonc" (Binse) ab. Das Dorf wurde um das Jahr 900 von Rodungsmönchen gegründet und trug nacheinander die Namen Joncrusum, Joncherii, Joncherium.... Im 18. Jahrhundert gehörte es den Jacquinots. Die Kirche St Pierre ès Liens stammt aus dem 12./13. und 16. Jahrhundert. Sie besitzt: - jahrhundert, die die Heilige Barbara, St. Pierre-ès-Liens und die Jungfrau Mutter darstellen - ein Taufbecken aus dem 16. Jahrhundert - ein Glasfenster mit Gottvater und Engeln.
