The pond was created in the 80's following a mine subsidence and is now home to a whole ecosystem. Secluded in the middle of nature, a specific fauna and flora have developed there over the years. A bucolic walk along the pond leads to a bird observatory ideal for nature lovers and photographers. Fishing is authorized under certain conditions under the supervision of the AAPPMA l'Ablette de Creutzwald.
