Det kommunale gymnasium Nepomucenum blev grundlagt af jesuitterne i 1627. I august 2014 undervises omkring 850 elever af 70 lærere. Dermed er Nepomucenum det største gymnasium i byen, foran det kommunale Heriburg-Gymnasium Coesfeld og det bispelige St.-Pius-Gymnasium Coesfeld. Navngiver er den hellige Johannes Nepomuk, blandt andet beskyttelse af skriftets hemmelighed. Lederen af skolen er Angela Bülo.
