Château Le Fy blev bygget i 1904-1905 af Paul Saintenoy for Jean-Edouard Jules Van Parys, svigersøn til Ernest Solvay. I 1923 blev François Paul Lefévre ejer. Han var belgisk konsul i Kina. Fra 1930 til 1940 stod det tomt. Så tog den tyske besætter ophold der. Fra 1944 var der amerikanske tropper indkvarteret i det. I 1951 blev det stillet til rådighed for en organisation af fader Dominique Pire til modtagelse af flygtninge fra Østeuropæiske lande.
