Toppen af Hordtberg er let genkendelig ved to transmissionsmaster. Begge indgange til toppen er forholdsvis stille med hensyn til trafik. Den vestlige side snor sig op gennem en skov, den østlige side er mere åben i karakter. På toppen har du en vidunderlig udsigt over Ruhr-området og Hattingen Hügelland (Elfringhauser Schweiz).
