Naturområdet Maashorst er en 2400 hektar stor min eller mindre sammenhængende landskabspark, der strækker sig over området af den navngivne kommune samt kommunerne Bernheze og Oss. Et besøgscenter ligger ved landsbyen Slabroek nær Nistelrode. Området består af en række forskellige landskabstyper: nåleskov, ofte på fastlagt sand, en gruppe spredte hedeområder, nogle små søer, moderne landbrugsområde, gammeldags landbrugsjord med marker, vådeng og småskove.
