¿Sabías que Dijon es el lugar de nacimiento del Kir? Es un invento del canónigo de Dijon, que también fue un muy comentado alcalde de la ciudad de Dijon. La bebida fue nombrada en honor a este sacerdote borgoñón, Félix Kir, que vivió desde 1876 hasta 1968. Este cóctel se basa en Crème de cassis y el vino blanco bourgogne Aligoté. Para el Kir Royal, el vino blanco se sustituye por champán u otro vino espumoso.
