In passato, la piazza di Sint-Gorik era circondata dai bracci della Zenne, formando così l'isola di Sint-Gorik, conosciuta anche come Grande Isola. Le Halle di Sint-Gorik coperte risalgono al 1874 e fino agli anni '70 si teneva un mercato molto popolare.
Si prega di passare a sinistra attraverso il portone del ristorante Ô Lion d'Or, una locanda risalente al XVII secolo. Nel cortile puoi scoprire una ricostruzione del braccio della Zenne che separava le due isole (il fiume non scorre più lì!).
Attenzione: attualmente non c'è accesso per il pubblico a causa della situazione sanitaria.
