Il Gymnasium Helmholtz di Bonn è un gymnasium pubblico con un ramo bilingue tedesco-inglese e un ramo di scienze naturali a Bonn-Duisdorf.
Il Gymnasium Helmholtz è stato inaugurato nel 1961 sotto la direzione di Wilhelm Schüttler come gymnasium dell'ufficio di Duisdorf. Un anno dopo, è stato ufficialmente intitolato a Hermann von Helmholtz. L'edificio scolastico è stato realizzato secondo un progetto dell'architetto di Düsseldorf Bruno Lambart, mentre la progettazione degli spazi verdi e sportivi è stata curata dall'ufficio dell'architetto paesaggista di Bonn Heinrich Raderschall. La scuola è stata decisamente influenzata negli anni 1976-1990 dal suo dirigente Leo Klingen. Dall'anno scolastico 2000/2001, in suo onore, oltre al diploma di maturità, viene conferito agli studenti il premio Dr.-Leo-Klingen per coloro che si sono distinti per le loro prestazioni scolastiche o per il loro impegno sociale. Dal 1990 al 2012, il gymnasium è stato guidato da Martin Berg. Dal 2013, Dorothee von Hoerschelmann è la dirigente scolastica.
