Il Rauhe Ebrach è un affluente lungo 47,3 km, occidentale e sinistro del Regnitz, situato nella Baviera settentrionale nei distretti di Schweinfurt e Haßberge e successivamente nel distretto di Bamberg.
Scorre dalla foresta di Wustvieler attraverso un'enclave del comune di Michelau nel Steigerwald e poi in direzione sud-est fino ad est attraverso il comune di Rauhenebrach e attraverso il comune di Schönbrunn nel Steigerwald, dove tocca anche l'area non comunale di Lindach, passando per il mercato di Burgebrach e i comuni di Frensdorf e Pettstadt, dove infine raggiunge il Regnitz.
