Het natuurgebied Den Bunt ligt in een hoek die gevormd wordt door de Schelde en de Durme. Het 18 hectare grote domeinbos Driegoten strekt zich uit van aan de voet van de Scheldedijk, tussen het De Pillecyn-monument en het gehucht Driegoten. De in Hamme geboren en getogen schrijver Filip De Pillecyn liet zich inspireren door zijn geboortestreek in zijn romans 'De veerman en de jonkvrouw' en 'Mensen achter dijken'.
