Sinds het najaar van 2006 zetelt boekhandel selexyz dominicanen in de eeuwenoude Dominicanenkerk te Maastricht. Tweehonderd jaar geleden verloor de kerk haar sacrale functie, en ze deed sindsdien vele jaren dienst als ondermeer slangenhuis, fietsenstalling en carnavalstempel.
Architectenbureau Merkx + Girod ontwierp het bijzondere interieur van selexyz dominicanen. Het ontwerp won in 2007 de Lensvelt Architect interieurprijs, de meest gerenomeerde prijs op dit gebied in Nederland.
