Området strækker sig sydvest for kernebyen Paderborn og øst for Wewer, et sydvestligt byområde i Paderborn. I den østlige kant af området løber A 33, vestligt Landesstraße L 756 og østligt L 755. Lohne flyder gennem området. Vestligt og i den nordvestlige del af området flyder Alme, en venstre sidebæk til Lippe. Mod syd grænser det direkte op til det cirka 2,8 ha store naturbeskyttelsesområde Ziegenberg i kommunen Borchen i Paderborn kommune. De to naturområder tilsammen er omtrent dækkeoverens med FFH-område Ziegenberg.
