Except for the gatehouse ("Hunnenporte") and part of the south wing, the buildings were demolished by 1902. The columns of the two-story west wing of the cloister, installed in the diocesan museum in Münster in 1864, returned after its demolition in 1966. Restoration work began before 2004. With the construction of two barns at the gatehouse and the restoration of the monastery mill, the local history association attempted to keep the character of the old monastery village alive.
