Vauban, Kommissar für Befestigungsanlagen, kam dreimal nach Rocroy: 1673, 1691 und 1696. Vor Ort 4 Restaurants, 3 Bars, alle Geschäfte, 2 Supermärkte, 2 Hotels, Gästezimmer und Ferienwohnungen, ein Wohnmobilstellplatz am Ortseingang, ein Wassersportzentrum, ein Spielplatz, ein Sportparcours in den Festungsanlagen Village étape und Petite cité de caractère (kleine Stadt mit Charakter) gehören zu den Gütesiegeln der Stadt.
