Rotberg è una frazione del quartiere di Waltersdorf del comune di Schönefeld nel distretto di Dahme-Spreewald. L'ex comune autonomo si trova a sud di Berlino, non lontano dall'aeroporto di Berlino-Schönefeld, nella regione del Brandeburgo.
Nel 1316, il luogo di Rotberg, fondato da coloni tedeschi, fu menzionato per la prima volta nei documenti come Rodeses. Probabilmente esisteva già un insediamento sorabo a causa della forma slava del nome. Il nome del luogo potrebbe derivare dalla parola tedesca per disboscamento, così come dalla slava "rot", che significa terreno umido.
