L'assedio di Toul che ebbe luogo dal 16 agosto al 23 settembre 1870 è un episodio della guerra franco-prussiana del 1870 che si concluse con la resa della città. Dopo la battaglia di Frœschwiller-Wœrth, il 6 agosto 1870 l'esercito del maresciallo Mac-Mahon è inseguito dalle truppe della 3ª armata tedesca comandata dal principe ereditario Federico Francesco II di Meclemburgo-Schwerin. Le truppe francesi retrocedono verso Nancy, Toul e il campo di Châlons-en-Champagne. L'avanzata delle truppe tedesche è rapida a causa della debole resistenza.
