Lucien Meyer was medestichter van de weerstandsgroep Nationale Koninklijke Beweging. Wanneer het gerucht ging dat het VNV de macht in Aarschot zou grijpen, ontplooide de NKB op tweede Paasdag 1941 een naïef machtsvertoon. Dit zou hen duur te staan zal komen. Op 13 september 1941 werd Meyer gearresteerd en gefolterd. Hij overleed op 26 maart 1944 in Essen ten gevolge van een luchtaanval.
