Duisburg Nord Industripark er et masovnsanlæg, der skylder sit kælenavn "apotekeriet i Ruhr-området" til de mange typer støbejern, der blev blandet her. Den metalliske lugt gennemtrænger stadig næsen. Som følge af stålkrisen blev dette Thyssen-kompleks lukket i midten af 1980'erne. Nedrivning viste sig at være for dyr, så det blev besluttet at bevare komplekset i sin oprindelige tilstand. Stedet har flere gå- og cykelstier.
