L’origine du site d’Aigremont remonte loin dans le temps et, aujourd’hui encore, beaucoup de légendes s’y rapportent. Aigremont, alors véritable forteresse, relève d’abord de l’église de Liège. En 1715, le chanoine Mathias Clercx acquiert la seigneurie qu’il enrichit par la construction d’un château conçu comme une résidence de plaisance. C’est un exemple remarquable de l’architecture liégeoise du début du XVIIIe siècle que l’Office du Tourisme de Flémalle vous invite à découvrir.
