"Spletterenbrug" sul Moervaart a Daknam. Un nome come un campana, ma anche un angolo idilliaco nella natura incontaminata. Con un po' di immaginazione puoi vedere e sentire nella tua mente l'ultima locomotiva a vapore, carica di barbabietole, rombare lungo i binari. Dal 1867 i treni a vapore hanno transitato su questa linea Aalst-Lokeren-Zelzate per 100 anni. Il ponte è stato fatto esplodere due volte da eserciti in ritirata. Nel 1918 dai tedeschi e nel 1940 dall'esercito belga. Il ponte, riparato dall'occupante dopo il 1940, è rimasto invariato fino ad oggi, salvo alcune tinteggiature. Il nome Spletteren si riferisce al vecchio nome dei campi circostanti.
