Description

Den nedre del af Zwarte Beek flyder fra Meldert (Lummen) i sydvestlig retning og går i dalen ved Demer forbi Zelem (Halen). Den samles først nær Diest. Bækken snoer sig her mellem stadigt højere vidder, i nogle tilfælde indsnævrende til et smalt bånd af græs- og engarealer, og derefter udvidende til en bredere zone, alt efter den plads, som bakkerne med et substrat af jernsandsten tillader den.
