Orbix Solutions er en pioner i den enorme reduktion af CO2-udledningen i byggebranchen. Globalt er cementindustrien ansvarlig for 7% af CO2-udledningen. Her fremstiller de byggeblokke baseret på metalslag (restprodukter fra metaludvinding fra malm). Desuden opbevares CO2 også i stenene. For hver vægtsten opbevares der ca. 10% CO2 permanent. Og ved fremstillingen af disse sten produceres der, i modsætning til klassisk cement, også meget lidt CO2. Der simuleres en proces fra naturen, nemlig produktionen af marmor. Processen blev udviklet af VITO.
