La Plattenburg es un castillo de agua situado en la comunidad no administrativa de Plattenburg en el distrito de Prignitz, en el noroeste de Brandeburgo. También es una parte de la comunidad de Kletzke, un distrito de la comunidad de Plattenburg. La Plattenburg fue mencionada por primera vez en un documento en 1319.
El castillo se encuentra en Prignitz. Debido a su pintoresca ubicación en una zona rica en bosques y aguas, el castillo fue en la Edad Media la residencia de verano de los obispos de la diócesis de Havelberg.
