Bleiswijk Bottle

With the construction of the Bleiswijkse Fles nature reserve on the northwest side of the Rotte between the Lange Vaart and the A12, the nature reserve around the Rotte is somewhat larger again. The Bleiswijkse Fles can be reached by bike on the south side via a new bridge over the Lange Vaart.

To enrich nature in the area of the Rottemeren Recreation Board, two shell islands of 4×5 meters have been floating in the Bleiswijkse Fles since the end of April 2017. These have been specially laid out as a nesting place for fish thiefs. It is widely used by the birds.
