Il Palais Brongniart, commissionato da Napoleone, deve il suo nome all'architetto Alexandre Théodore Brongniart (1808-1825). Inaugurato il 4 novembre 1826, è stato la sede della Borsa di Parigi per quasi centocinquant'anni. Abbandonata dagli agenti di cambio per molti anni, la Borsa ha cessato le sue attività nel 1987. Oggi il sito ospita una galleria dedicata alla storia della Borsa. Progettato da A. Brongniart, il Palais non è purtroppo più aperto al pubblico dal 2008.
