Lucien Meyer fue coautor del grupo de resistencia Movimiento Nacional Real. Cuando corrió el rumor de que el VNV tomaría el poder en Aarschot, el NKB realizó una exhibición de poder ingenua el segundo día de Pascua de 1941. Esto les costaría caro. El 13 de septiembre de 1941, Meyer fue arrestado y torturado. Murió el 26 de marzo de 1944 en Essen a causa de un ataque aéreo.
