L'escultura de ferro "O Dragão" és d' Aurelià Aguiar i va ser realitzada en 2009.
Hi ha més obres d´aquest autor repartides per la ciutat.
El drac va ser comprat a Coïmbra , on adornava una font al centre de la ciutat.
Aquesta obra va guanyar el premi artístic Utopia 2009 – Centre Portuguès d'Art Fantàstic.
La relació amb la ciutat podria ser perquè el drac verd era un dels símbols dels sueus . Quan van envair la península Ibèrica al segle V, es van assentar a l' antiga província romana de Galícia i van fundar un regne amb Braga com a capital.
