Gennem et strategisk køb af jord af pionererne fra Limburgs Landskab vzw i 1978 blev reguleringen af Bosbeek forhindret. Dette startede en landskabelig genopretning og bevarede det store naturværdi i området.
I alt har der engang været seksten møller langs Bosbeek. Øst for Tösch ligger Wurfeldermolen. Den første mølle på dette sted stammer sandsynligvis fra før 1437. Møllen har været anvendt som fuldmølle (til at fuldføre uld), som barkmølle (til at male eg bark til garvesyre), som papirmølle og kornmølle.
