Attraverso un acquisto strategico del terreno da parte dei pionieri di Limburgs Landschap vzw nel 1978, è stata evitata la rettifica del Bosbeek. Questo ha avviato il ripristino paesaggistico e ha mantenuto il grande valore naturale dell'area.
In totale, un tempo c'erano sedici mulini lungo il Bosbeek. A est di Tösch si trova il Wurfeldermolen. Il primo mulino in quel luogo risale probabilmente a prima del 1437. Il mulino è stato utilizzato come mulino a martelli (per la macinazione della lana), come mulino per la corteccia (per macinare la corteccia di quercia per l'acido tannico), come mulino per la carta e come mulino per il grano.
