Grâce à un achat stratégique de terrain réalisé par les pionniers de Limburgs Landschap vzw en 1978, le redressement de la Bosbeek a été évité. Cela a permis le rétablissement du paysage et a préservé la grande valeur naturelle de la région.
Au total, seize moulins ont un jour été situés le long de la Bosbeek. À l'est de Tösch se trouve le Wurfeldermolen. Le premier moulin à cet endroit date probablement d'avant 1437. Le moulin a servi de moulin à foulon (pour fouler la laine), de moulin à écorce (pour broyer l'écorce de chêne pour l'acide tannique), de moulin à papier et de moulin à grains.
