På den modsatte side af Lerebeek ligger 'De Petitsen', en forvanskning af 'Les Petites', små parceller. Her, i byen Eggertingen, erhvervede Limburgs Landskab i 2004 sine første parceller. Naturområdet blev udvidet, men havde stadig ikke noget specifikt, dækkende navn. Og det blev aldrig fundet... derfor blev det ved Eggertingen!
Her vokser også den lille kardebolle. Denne ret sjældne plante indikerer, at der er kalk i jorden. Gennem forskellige år med stripmæssepleje har planten spredt sig og findes nu endda på mere fugtige steder i dalen.
