De Grignard-hold er en gammel krydset mænge af Sambre, beliggende opstrøms fra Lobbes. Her er der en vand- og strandvegetation af stor regional betydning: samfund af gule vandliljer (Nuphar lutea) og små vandliljer (Hydrocharis morsus-ranae), hornblad (Myriophyllum spicatum), frynset megaforbia, rørbed med stor glycera (Glyceria maxima) osv. De sandstensklipper, der dominerer den nordlige bred af grøften, har mange bregner, herunder den sjældne sorte adiantum (Asplenium adiantum-nigrum). En nærliggende våd eng huser en interessant hygrophil flora med den falske oenanthe (Oenanthe fistulosa) og dværgscutellaria (Scutellaria minor). Sammen danner dette en bemærkelsesværdig transekt, der skal bevares!
