Den lokale café med henvisning til Bryggeriet Omer Vander Ghinste var dengang det centrale punkt. Den nærliggende bygning, der fungerede som brandstation, er integreret i billedet af denne cité. Denne store bygning med brandtårn blev renoveret af Byen Kortrijk og huser nu den nuværende Deelfabriek.
Historien går tilbage til 1875, da et tidligere baggård bestående af 10 arbejderboliger blev opført under navnet "Vuylstekens cité" af opdragsgiver Albert Vuylsteke.
*Denne gyde forbinder cykelstien, der går langs skinnerne, med Sint-Antoniusgade.
