Lützelburg er en borgrest og dermed også et fortidsminde i Kempten. Nøjagtige data om oprettelsen og ejerskab er ikke kendt. Johann Baptist Haggenmüller henviser i sin 1840 udgivet historiebog Historie om byen og det fyrstelige grevskab Kempten til en træbro mellem den kun få meter længere nordligt beliggende Burghalde og Lützelburg i det 11. århundrede. Der findes ikke kendte beviser for dette. Ifølge Joseph Meirhofer var slottene forbundet med en "gang".
I et af de ældste helhedsbilleder af byen, en træsnit af Hanß Abelin og Hanß Rogel fra året 1569, eksisterer der stadig en borg på bakken. På en afbildning fra 1673, som Matthäus Merian tegnede, er Lützelburg afbildet som en ruin.
