Die Dünenwälder von De Haan sind eines der grünen Juwelen an der Küste. Das Gebiet besteht aus drei Teilen und ist stolze 152 Hektar groß. Hier findet man sowohl offene Dünenlandschaften mit der typischen Fauna und Flora der Küste als auch ausgedehnte bewaldete Dünen. Besondere Bewohner der Dünenwälder von De Haan sind die geschützten roten Waldameisen, die bis zu 700.000 in einem Ameisenhaufen leben können!
