Das Anwesen Park von Beervelde, nahe Gent, liegt im Herzen einer Region, die für ihren Gartenbau bekannt ist. Der Anbau von Begonien und Azaleen dominiert dort. Der mehr als 20 Hektar große Park wurde 1873 entworfen und im englischen Landschaftsstil angelegt. Die Absicht der Auftraggeber, der Grafen de Kerchove de Denterghem, war es, den Park als Schaufenster für den damals noch jungen Gartenbau in Gent zu nutzen.
