El dominio Parque de Beervelde, cerca de Gante, se encuentra en el corazón de una región conocida por su horticultura. El cultivo de begonias y azaleas predominan. El parque de más de 20ha fue diseñado y creado en 1873 en estilo paisajístico inglés. La intención de los comitentes, los condes de Kerchove de Denterghem, era que el parque funcionara como vitrina para la entonces incipiente horticultura de Gante.
