Seit dem Jahr 2000 zeigt der Verein Opslot in einem restaurierten Fabrikgebäude eine bemerkenswerte und nahezu einzigartige Sammlung historischer und zeitgenössischer Schlösser.
Die Sammlung umfasst Objekte aus der Zeit vor der römischen Periode bis heute. Das Highlight der Sammlung sind die Meisterwerke aus dem Mittelalter und der Renaissancezeit; echte Beispiele für Kunst und Handwerk.
Die Sammlung enthält auch Schlösser aus Asien und Afrika, und ein separater Teil ist der Schlossindustrie Westflanderns aus dem jüngeren 20. Jahrhundert gewidmet.
