Anfänglich stand an diesem Ort das Hof ter Walle. Der Bau des heutigen Neorenaissance-Schlosses begann 1854 und dauerte bis 1859. Das Schloss wurde im Auftrag von Baron Polydore Piers de Raveschoot-Surmont de Volsberghe errichtet. Vier seiner sechs Söhne wurden später Bürgermeister von Olsene. Das Anwesen befindet sich derzeit im Privatbesitz und ist nur ausnahmsweise zu besichtigen. Seit 1995 ist das Schloss als Denkmal anerkannt. Am Tag der Landwirtschaft, jedem dritten Sonntag im September, organisiert die Gemeinde Zulte zusammen mit lokalen Produzenten einen Bauernmarkt.
