Am Eingang des Dorfes Botassart, das für seinen berühmten Blick auf das Grab des Riesen bekannt ist, befindet sich ein Denkmal aus weißem Stein mit einer Statue der Jungfrau Maria, auf der in einem Heiligenschein geschrieben steht: „Ich bin die Unbefleckte Empfängnis“.
Dieses Mariendenkmal wurde um 1935 errichtet : Die Dorfbewohner trugen die großen weißen Steine von ihren Feldern , um dieses Denkmal zu errichten. Die Statue der Jungfrau Maria wurde in den 1990er Jahren ersetzt, nachdem die vorherige durch einen Sturm zerstört worden war.
