At the entrance to the village of Botassart, known for its famous view of the giant's tomb, there is a white stone monument with a statue of the Virgin Mary on which is written in a halo: “I am the Immaculate Conception”.
This Marian monument was erected around 1935 : the villagers carried the large white stones from their fields to erect this monument. The statue of the Virgin Mary was replaced in the 1990s after the previous one was destroyed by a storm.
