Bij de ingang van het dorp Botassart, bekend om zijn beroemde uitzicht op het graf van de reus, staat een wit stenen monument met een Mariabeeld, waarop in een aureool staat: "Ik ben de Onbevlekte Ontvangenis".
Dit Maria-monument werd rond 1935 opgericht: de dorpelingen verplaatsten de grote witte stenen uit hun velden om dit monument op te richten. Het Mariabeeld werd in de jaren 1990 vervangen, nadat het vorige door een storm was gebroken.
