Das Poekebeek-Tal besteht aus typischen Weiden und Hainen.
Natuurpunt hat die meisten Bäume im Tal neu gepflanzt, um ihre Erholung zu unterstützen. Im Winter kommt es in der Gegend häufig zu Überschwemmungen , sodass Vögel wie Watvögel und Kiebitze beobachtet werden können. Auch die Erholung der Amphibien in der Gegend durch den Bau zweier Teiche wurde berücksichtigt. Infolgedessen sind nun Braune Frösche und Bergmolche zu sehen.
