Das Maison du Marchand befindet sich im Herzen der Altstadt und stammt aus dem 18. Jahrhundert. Es besitzt eine reich verzierte Fassade aus rosafarbenem Sandstein, die kürzlich renoviert wurde. Seinen Namen verdankt das Haus seinem ersten Besitzer, dessen Beruf durch Eckskulpturen angedeutet wird. All diese Hinweise ließen vermuten, dass der Auftraggeber dieses Hauses ein Händler von Gewürzen und exotischen Lebensmitteln war, der den Hof von König Stanislas Leszczynski mit Importen aus Übersee versorgen sollte.
