Joos Vijd is the oldest known owner of the 'inhabited place at the Walle', the predecessor of this impressive castle. Castle Cortewalle preserves the archives of its former noble inhabitants. The landscape park of Castle Cortewalle, including the bee garden, herb garden, and vineyard, is definitely worth a stroll.
