Terlaemen Castle is located in Viversel, a village of the Belgian municipality of Heusden-Zolder. The castle is not open to the public. In 1293 the Terlaemen estate is mentioned for the first time. The owner was Clara van der Lamen, who after her marriage to Henri Malapart took the name Malapart de Lame. In 1330 it was handed over to Marten van Loon, a bastard son of Count Arnold V van Loon. The domain came successively into the possession of the Steyvoert, de Blocquerie de Terbiest de Terlaemen, van Mombeek and Borgyhye families.
