The Doornpanne visitor centre is just a stone's throw from Koksijde. It houses a permanent exhibition on the abstraction of water from the dunes and the richness of the fauna and flora of this 240-hectare nature reserve. Nowhere in West Flanders are there so many types of dunes. The most beautiful panorama is revealed from the top of the Hoge Blekker, the highest dune on the coast which culminates at 33 meters.
