This city park runs from the train-metro station of Simonis to the Basilica of Koekelberg. The original plan was to create a "green connection" with the rural neighboring municipalities of Brussels. Although this plan was developed as early as the 1860s, it would take until 1880 before construction could begin.
Since 1985, the Leopold II Tunnel runs beneath the park. This important traffic artery connects the Small Ring (R20) and the Large Ring (R0).
Today, Elisabethpark is a true green oasis in the midst of the hectic city. The Tour de Campus of the ehb also goes through the park. It is recommended to take a stop here.
The park is open every day.
